Texas Poster creates art posters for Texas State Parks and other historical and cultural sites.

Before I retired, I was a theme park designer for Disney, Universal and other related companies. Over my career, I went from drawing by hand to the computer where I learned Photoshop, AutoCad, Illustrator, CorelDraw and Lightwave as design tools. These were hard earned skills and I didn't want to lose those abilities even though I will never work in the corporate world again. One thought I've had through the years about when I retired was that I would like to travel around and create posters of the places I visited. So I started giving myself assignments to create posters about the Texas State Parks, historical sites and other places that might be of interest to tourists. The reason I retired to Texas is because this is where I was born and my mother, sister and nephew still live here and I wanted to be nearer to them. When I looked for posters online about these subjects, there was very little available. So for the past 4 years, I have been creating the body of work you see on my Etsy site. I am basically a one man shop although I go to my local printer to have may posters printed because I can't afford a printer the size I wanted my posters. It is much cheaper to have them printed by the corner printer than invest $30K or more to buy my own large scale printer. Every image is my own personal work however.
